The only good thing that came out of leaving my apartment today in my rainboots was stumbling upon this spot.  One of my friends just got back from N.O. and couldn’t stop raving about the amazing amazing food they had.  When I was just about to slap her out of jealousy, in we walked to Cheeky’s.  The guy running the place is originally from there, and was a complete southern gentleman.  I’ll be going around there more often with offerings such as fried oyster po’boys and braised short rib on challah bread…talk about kickin’ it up a notch in the neighborhood!
